Frontier Pitts Bi-folding Gate System replaces existing Automatic Barrier system at London Borough of Hillingdon’s Civic Centre.

With the aim to increase security to their service yard access, the London Borough of Hillingdon approached Frontier Pitts as the ‘One Stop Shop’ to replace the existing automatic barrier.The project involved decomissioning the existing barrier, making the groundworks good, before installing and commissioning the bi-folding speed gate.

As the Service Yard entrance was very limited for space and HGV’s would still require access, bi-folding gates were the perfect solution to ensure the gates took up the least space whilst in the open position.A traffic light system was mounted on the wall next to the bi-folding gates as visibility on site is also restricted.At Frontier Pitts, we highly recommend safety features are fitted to your automated gate to comply to safety standards and alleviate the dangers associated with automatic gates. Safety devices on this installation include vehicle detector loops, safety edges and photocells.
