Frontier Pitts Automatic Car Park Barriers provide traffic control at a local school in Crawley.

Frontier Pitts Automatic Barrier model FBX was the perfect solution for this high traffic site with its rapid-action torque motor. The barrier provides 100% duty rating – designed for continuous and frequent use – backed with a maintenance contract to give the school management peace of mind.

Entry Barrier
As the entrance was directly off a busy main road, the entry barrier needed to be quick in its operation. Vehicle detector loops were installed with the barrier to allow free entry through the barrier from the busy main road.

Exit Barrier
With such a large exit lane, a longer barrier boom was required from a different model of barrier. However to maintain consistency of barrier model, Frontier Pitts installed a bi-parting pair of FBX automatic barriers. Operating in unison, the together the two barriers secured the width of the exit, and looked the same as the entry barrier. To control the exit barriers, a bespoke token acceptor was designed and manufactured for the school site.
